SDCBench

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12 August 2026

This policy describes how the SDCBench desktop application handles data. SDCBench is open-source software published by Axius SDC, Inc. It is a client for SDCStudio: it stores your credential on your own device and communicates only with the SDCStudio instance you connect it to.

Summary

  • SDCBench contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising, or third-party tracking.
  • It does not send any data to Axius SDC, Inc. except through the SDCStudio server you choose to connect to.
  • Your API credential is stored locally in your operating system's secure credential store, never in plain text and never transmitted to us.

What SDCBench stores on your device

  • Your SDCStudio API token, held in the operating system's secure keychain (macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager, or the Linux Secret Service). It stays on your machine and is used only to authenticate your requests to SDCStudio.
  • Draft models you choose to save locally, written as files to a location you select.
  • Local application settings, such as the SDCStudio base URL you configure.

What SDCBench transmits, and to whom

SDCBench communicates only with the SDCStudio server you connect it to (by default the public instance at sdcstudio.axius-sdc.com, or another instance you configure). When you use it, it may send that server:

  • your API token, to authenticate you;
  • component library searches you run;
  • the draft data models you explicitly choose to send;
  • requests to retrieve your account name, projects, and wallet balance for display in the app.

Data you send to an SDCStudio server is handled under the terms and privacy practices governing that server. If you use the public SDCStudio instance, that is Axius SDC, Inc.; if you run your own or a sovereign instance, it is whoever operates it. SDCBench itself adds no other network destinations.

What SDCBench does not do

  • It does not collect usage analytics or telemetry.
  • It does not include advertising or third-party trackers.
  • It does not sell or share personal data.
  • It does not transmit your local files anywhere except the SDCStudio content you explicitly send.

Your control

Signing out of SDCBench removes the stored API token from your device's credential store. Locally saved draft files are yours to keep or delete. You can point SDCBench at a different SDCStudio instance, or stop using it, at any time.

Children

SDCBench is a professional data-modeling tool and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the software changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
